About FRC International
FRC International has developed an international training and qualification structure for Fast Response Craft (FRC) personnel. This includes understanding risk, duty-of-care, legislation, evolving technologies and new operational tasks and scenarios.
The FRC International qualifications and Continued Professional Development (PRODEV) are designed to address the needs of the professional and commercial maritime sector.
International training standards address the competence of fast boat handling in the vicinity of fixed or moving platforms, including the capability to be interoperable with other organisations and agencies during maritime operations.
FRC recognises the growing need for professional and commercial maritime operators, including first responders, to be interoperable with other agencies and assets. Crews also need to be aware of the roles and responsibilities of organisations such as the MCA, MAIB and HSE.
FRC Qualifications & Training
FRC qualifications, and the associated training, are designed to reduce and manage operational risk. The concept is to reduce risk via initial training, occupation-specific qualifications and Continued Professional Development (PRODEV).
The combined use of competence requirements assessment and risk management enables FRC International to develop training specifically for the professional or commercial FRC operator.
